BAV Lab signed a research project contract with Akbank and Aksigorta that involves combined analysis of databases from the two companies. The project will be carried out over the course of 15 months, and is expected result in improved product recommendation performance for the two companies.
There is evidence in the literature that word-of-mouth and physical exposure are well-known powerful sources of behavior propagation, but their effectiveness in modern city environment remains largely unknown. In this talk, using large-scale quantitative behavioral data, we show two examples on the effect of direct and indirect communication on human decision-making.
Akbank senior management and analytics experts spent a day with BAV Lab researchers and Dr. Xiaowen Dong of MIT Media Lab’s Human Dynamics Group, and discussed various topics of research and implementation ranging from churn analysis to campaign optimization, and to behavioral risk analysis.
Two research studies conducted at BAV Lab were accepted for presentation at the IC2S2 2017 conference to be held in Cologne, Germany in July 2017: 1) Insurance Fraud Detection: A Network Modeling and Behavioral Analytics Approach, and 2) Using Predictive Analytics to Learn and Predict Customer Invoice Payment Behavior.
