With Akbank’s donation of financial transaction data, we were able to study a stream of research topics regarding banking customer behavior.



The main aspect of this research is to understand when, how and why banking customers churn away from banking products. When do they stop using a credit card or depositing cash into their accounts? Given their historical behavior and relationship with the bank and a number of external factors, we try to understand customers’ motivation to use or not use existing banking products, or even have a reasonable usage estimation on new banking products.
